Back to News2013 – Where did it go?
So another year has flown by at WHS and 2013 has been an incredible year, with its opening of factory two and the increase of new work. WHS has grown from strength to strength and we hope to continue this into next year.
With highlights of the year including the first machine running in factory two sampling the JLR bonnet finisher successfully and the re opening of the learning centre having been closed for four years. October saw the re-launch of the WHS website to show people what WHS is capable of as well as links to our sister companies ETS and WHS plastics Egypt.
The staff at WHS have taken part in various charitable events including the Macmillan coffee morning to support Macmillan nurses, Movember to support testicular and prostate cancer and mental health in males and Pink Friday for breast cancer, contributing a combined figure over £1000 to some great causes.
The company saw its 1000th issue of the newsletter being issued in October having been a weekly newsletter for 20 years. Cairo also celebrated their 300th weekly newsletter in June , a real milestone for the company which started in 2007. The summer months also saw the introduction of the payment productivity scheme, with the aim to pay all employees 3% of their basic salary if the company achieves the profit targets in the financial forecast.
Overall, 2013 has been a tremendous year for WHS with the company still continuing to grow we look forward to what’s in store for 2014.
