A wonderful year for WHS

Another year has flown by at WHS and 2017 has been an unbelievable year, with the building of the new paint plant here at our Birmingham site in January to the invitation from the BPF in December.  Along with the rise of new work, our company has grown from strength to strength with new customers, new machines and new people and we hope to continue this into next year. Our last newsletter of 2017 gives a recap of all that WHS have accomplished this year.

With highlights of the year including Site 2 running the first production tool in the new 1500 ton press in February, Toyota France presenting WHS with “A grade supplier” award in March and The first painted parts being produced from brand new state of the art paint plant in September.

The staff at WHS have taken part in various charitable events including the Macmillan coffee morning to support Macmillan nurses, Movember to support testicular and prostate cancer and mental health in males and Christmas Jumper day for Ronald MacDonald’s house, Salvation army shelter and Alzheimer’s society contributing a combined figure over £1500 to some great causes.

2017  saw a bunch of firsts for WHS such as the creation of the company wide dashboard, the dashboard has been used as a companywide noticeboard, promoting communication between departments and continuous improvement going forward around WHS. The introduction of Maybrook, our offsite warehouse and  The Lean Six Sigma Training with White Belt Training which would follow on for the rest of 2017 with employees gaining their yellow , green and black belts respectively.

Overall, 2017 has been a extraordinary year for WHS with the company still continuing to grow we look forward to what’s in store for the WHS group in 2018.
