Warehouse Supervisor – Night Shift

The Role

In this role you will be expected to maintain the smooth running of the warehouse, ensuring the receiving and despatching of stock into and out of the warehouse and yard is carried out effectively and efficiently by the operatives whilst maintaining customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating workload within the team.
  • Prioritising the workload and delegating the daily tasks as required.
  • Communicating effectively with the manager and fellow workers.
  • Resolve any issues that are reported by the operatives.
  • Ensure that all customer despatches meet the required standard.
  • Effectively undertake and complete specific tasks as requested ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Be able to perform multiple tasks and duties in line with increased operational flexibility.
  • Assisting with the training and development of team members.
  • Proactively share knowledge and experience with fellow workers to enable tasks to be carried out the required standard.
  • Ensure the highest standards of housekeeping are maintained.
  • Be involved in aspects of employment relations including recruitment and disciplinary procedures.
  • Identify training requirements and carry out training as required, ensuring that accurate training records are maintained.

General Responsibilities and Duties

  • Adhere to company quality awareness.
  • Assist other areas of the business when required to carry out the same or similar tasks.
  • Any other reasonable duties required

Desired Skills and Experiences

  • FLT Counter Balance, Reach and VNA licence required.
  • Proven experience of working in a warehouse environment.
  • Planning and organising skills to effectively manage the flow of stock.
  • Be able to demonstrate good computer literacy.
  • Have good numeric and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work with people at all levels.
  • Understanding of the importance of health and safety in the workplace.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Experience of managing a team.
  • Experience of manual handling.
