DuPont technical training at WHS

This month WHS took part in the “DuPont Technical Training” which was held at our site 1 facility in the JLR conference room and we led by Alison Reaney, one of our JLR Account Managers as well as two trainers from DuPont, Robert Coates and Joe Read also JLR employee George Thirlaway.   We had 32 people involved over the two day course with 19 JLR employees on site taking part in the training.   The course included the Introduction to plastic raw material and design in plastics as well as moulding tips and a practical moulding session in which we used machine C12, Thanks goes to Mark Cullwick, manager of C Row for leading the demonstration.   It was a very good opportunity for JLR Engineers to visit WHS and see both our Toolmaking and moulding facilities.  Both JLR & DuPont have thanked us for hosting the event having received great feedback from the course with reference to the training also for the fantastic buffet lunch provided by the canteen.  Both DuPont and JLR have said they would be more than happy to do further training on- site at WHS.  A very positive step forward for WHS.
