NVQ Business Improvement Techniques Complete

The Business Improvement techniques course which has been on going at WHS for the past 12 months has now been completed by all 29 learners. Congratulations to the WHS staff who have worked very hard over the past year and gaining new skills and experience to use in their departments.

Hayley our learning centre manager liaised with staff to be booked in for their 3 improvements meetings. The 29 member of staff were divided into Five teams of and concentrated on an area they work in and or around other areas of WHS to see the most benefit from the improvements.

One of the improvements made by one of the 5 teams was improving the pen area at the back of C Row. The changes have helped the row be more organised and efficient with day to day jobs such as the racking for first and last off parts which has been re-organised, cleaned, sorted and labelled with colour coded signage with reference to customers which makes it easier to identify as well as gauges & part boxes of stock are in the racking also and have also been colour coded. The other designated areas are also now easier to identify for WIP, N.C.P and finished goods.

This is just one of the fantastic improvements that have been made around WHS by this course. Thank you and congratulations to everyone involved and special thank you to Hayley for helping organise and manage the course over the 12 months.
