Back to NewsWHS and the community
This month, WHS was asked by the Water Orton Carnival committee to take part in the Water Orton carnival and to support the event by providing lorries and drivers for this year’s floats. The theme this year was “Continents” with our drivers Dean Edgerton, Robert Reed who had the honour of carrying the carnival queen taking part and also Alan Boyce who placed second in the competition of best float. As this was Alan Boyce’s last year doing the carnival before his retirement, the Water Orton Carnival committee presented Alan with gifts of thanks for his service over the last 13 years to the carnival which were given to him by carnival guest of honour Simon David who competed on the Voice. As always we are glad to assist as it is a good way of helping the local community and we also appreciate the amount of hard work that goes into organising such an event. Thank you to everyone who was involved in the carnival this year.
