Back to NewsWHS continued improvements of Site 2 and Site 3
During this month we have had significant changes to our second site and our newly required third site at WHS, Site 2has seen the parking area been reduced to assist the instillation of the new side exit door. The new door access will allow materials , tooling , pallet cages and finished goods to move in and out of site 2 whilst the building of the 30,000 sqft extension progresses . The completion date for the new building is the 30th September 2016 . The first of our new machines has also been delivered into Site 2 which is a n Engle 1100T (pictured)
Our newly required Site 3 will see the new Post Moulding area with the move taking place over this month and next from site 1 to site 3. Over the course of last month, the Engineering department started to dismantle the Toyota gear knob track ready to be relocated to Site 3 whilst site 3 was having renovations for the new cell. With the help and support off the Maintenance and Engineering department as well as Stores the staff from the cell will achieve their goals and have a department ready to start assembly work at the start of April. Once in their new area the objective is to implement best practices and take away unnecessary processes and improve the layout all operations to ensure the whole cell is the best it can possibly be. People don’t generally like change, but this is a great opportunity for a fresh start, to have a department which is a show pieces for customers, that will show the assembly capabilities at WHS and support future growth and success of the company.
