WHS take part in Career’s Fair

Five of our younger members of staff took part in Careers fairs in October around Sutton Coldfield and Castle Bromwich area. The first was at Sutton Coldfield Town Hall where Lucy Sarson from Sales, Charlie Walter our toolroom apprentice and Iain Collard our HR student engaged with young adults about careers within WHS Plastics Ltd.  The feedback from the school students was positive and the team gained a number of different contacts which will be explored in the near future. Another career’s fair also took place with Jade Harrison based in Logistics and Emma Cox in Projects going to Park Hall Academy in Castle Bromwich discussing with the year 11 students about careers within the company whilst sharing their own experiences with the students having started at WHS as students themselves. Iain Collard also attended the Park Hall careers fair and gave a presentation about the company, which the students really enjoyed. We are looking forward to doing future careers fairs with other young staff from WHS so they can go and share their knowledge of the company with students.
